PLEASE BRYKE. PLEASE.
It’s with surprising frequency that I get into arguments over the merits of reading bound paper books vs. use of the Kindle/iPad/what-have-you. (Actually, the frequency isn’t so surprising if you know me and the people who I spend most of my time with.)
Defenders of the tablets are quick to make…
Friends with Idle thoughts of importance
O wow… thats the same finish as Sax Dakota’s black onyx.
How do you like the Cannonball compared to others?
Paramore - Brick By Boring Brick (MTV Unplugged)
the best ever<3
Airplanes/All I Wanted/Misery Business/Brick by Boring Brick Mash Up - Hayley Williams
Bloody Brilliant mash-up
i had two flat tires today, I almost never get them. I also happened to get both on the same ride. It is 92’ F today and i had to walk for about 30 minutes between getting the first one and fixing it. I went out to the phone shoppe to fix my bill just to be told they can’t do anything in store. The whole point of me going there was because the phone services have had mixed information and the first thing they told me was to call customer service.
On the ride back i got the first flat and that wasn’t a big deal, i just switched in a new tube and realigned everything. 3 minutes NBD. then i got the second flat, on my brand new tube. I went to patch the new flat and realised my patch kit is empty. WTF. so i walk about 30 minutes in the heat before i come across a biker that has a patch kit and he lends me one.
big waste of my afternoon.
and i still have to go to work at 1730. kill me now.
my friends have great taste
Shaved ice is the devil…
that is all.
runs in the general direction my mind DOESN’T…
i can’t learn the way the manager teaches, and i do a shitton of work for the amount they pay regular workers.
yes Mimi the one on Culver…
and no sister you shouldn’t visit me, if I’m not behind the counter, I’m pissed off and not even close to personable.
I just want to pay off my bills and quit.
I felt better after my last job trying to fire me, than i feel after the 4 hour training shift i just had.
thanks… I’m excited to have a job again…
I’m actually working at Mochilato… so I’m at your service in the persuasion of Gelato, Japanese dessert, and espresso. we just started a food menu this week but i haven’t seen it yet.
oh why thank you Amy, You’re pretty spiffy yourself
- Tony: Hey this vitamin water is actually healthier than Gatorade.
- Jeannette: Huh? Sexually healthier?!
- Tony: Hmm maybe, it does have vitamin B.
- Jenna: True, vitamin B is for energy and stamina..
- Tony: B is for babies!
- Alan: BOOBIES!!!!
only took me 9 months of unemployment, and a second follow up interview…
damn non-economy.
short musician love all over the place.
your director obviously doesn’t understand that at the end of the day, dedication matters the most and thats what keeps you going. And he can’t complain about how you play, since, at his discretion, you’ve been put on a part you’re not accustomed to playing .
There is a certain feeling to marching the instrument you want on that field. I hope next season he doesn’t make the same mistake.
hope you have the best season you can Brittney.
queenpenelope is back on tumblr…I like her stuff…

yeah excited dance… and hyped up on Mate’
It’s your passion and intensity that will win you the arguement with the band director. someone who doesn’t care will bitch and whine about having to carry a bari, You will enjoy every minute and that’s all that mattters. Let him know you wil enjoy your season less while he has to listen to the other player complain for 3 months if that is his decision. hopefully that will win your situation, because really, he is discriminateing against your height and best judgement not letting you march bari. Just get a full harness and rock it girl.
I’m 4’11” and i jump around stages playing bari in ska and horn rock bands. just do it if you really care. because that is all that matters.
feels like a sock in my bell, but it’s better than not playing at all…
</ music nerdism>
Amen… blend with the F Horns and 2nd Clarinets but being loud enough to not be lost in the sound, without sounding edgy. Big mouthpieces, weight boosters, and flugelhorn solos.
Middle voicings and counter melodies are my world.
2nd trumpet/cornet.
1st& 3rd F horn.
just so i can see my best friend in the world play in the marching band.
Woke up early… which is starting to become normal as I’m still mildly on New York time.
Helped my brotherly friend clean both cars.
Went to the Huntington Beach Pro Disc Golf course and played 1.5 games. It’s a very different feeling than my local disc golf course, longer distances to the tee with things like hills, curves, wide open drives and such.
Ate at Aloha Hawiian Bar-b-que… the non chain one. on brookhurst (for locals referance) the best hawaiian plate lunch place in Orange County.
Looked around at Prehistoric Pets. OMG O.O aminals… huge snakes, iguanas, and a monitor lizard. tons of turtles and tortises, and a plethora of small lizards, snakes and spiders.
Came home to the brosefs place to watch anthony bourdain and have cooking conversations sprinked in with bike gear.
came over to the coffee shoppe for my regular evening stop. got all 3 of my drinks for free. I walk into the shoppe and ask my homegirl what i want, she decided for me and didnt charge, then someone neglected to tell my other coffee crew bloke that she wanted hot instead of iced and i got the spare iced for free, and the new guy just gave my my drip coffee for free since i wanted to recycle my latte cup for it.
great day so far. =]
I hope I’m not the only one in saying that bananas are my favorite fruit. My personal trainer told me something interesting about bananas, and I think you might like to know this information.
Do not eat a banana then sit down and veg out. (ha ha get it? Bananas are fruits, and people veg out…)
DO eat bananas before doing something that requires you to move around.

realised how much i love my corps…
i just spent the last 2 days almost continually moving things from my apartment to my mums house.
There were three main issues.
one. My apartment was upstairs and i had to move stuff down a 36 step outdoor stairway.
two. I have more things in my possession now than when i moved out a year and a half ago.
three. i spent about 4 hours, starting at midnight last night, trying to figure out how to fit it all into my old tiny bedroom and the garage. After i had moved it all.
And today now that I’ve moved everything and disorganised all my possessions, I need to pack up a weeks worth of it for DCA finals in Rochester. I leave tonight.
Getting dropped off at downtown disney by my brother (hopefully if he doesn’t flake)… then meeting up with my girlfriend since she works at downtown dis and she’s going to drive me up to LAX for my call time at 9.
I will be just about broke after i finish off my corps association dues, and pay for my cut of the hotel room.
i really need some music students and a day job.
